Foundations of Prayer Laid for Shepherd's Gate Inn

It was quite a site to see hundreds of orange prayer ribbons fluttering in the breeze on the building site of Shepherd's Gate Inn, the REST Ministries retreat centre!
As REST Ministries makes preparations to build Shepherd's Gate Inn, we recognize the first step must be in “laying a foundation” of prayer and the prayer ribbons were a visual way to convey our intent.
Many local churches and individuals eagerly participated by writing out prayers on the prayer ribbons for God's blessings to be poured out on Shepherd's Gate Inn. The ribbons were then staked out within the actual boundaries where the building will be constructed.
When the physical foundation for Shepherd's Gate Inn is poured, plans have been made to encase the prayer ribbons in the cement, as a way to symbolize the retreat centre being built on the foundations of prayer.
